Hi,
I’m Judith Norris,
Tampa Bay Freelance Writer,
“I’ll write your company’s message and information with style.”
Being a Freelance Writer helps me realize how writing different genres (types) prepared me to become a freelance writer.
Four Examples:
1. Academic Writing;
Only a particular field has knowledge of some words used.
2. Poetry;
Emotion filled using rhyming, alliteration, or free verse.
3. Children’s Literature:
Stories for ages 8 – 12 from Institute of Children’s Literature in
Redding Ridge, Connecticut. Published authors/instructors
critiqued my writing.
4. Reading through Writing; successful teaching method for K – 9
used for my remedial reading small class students.
Freelance writing takes most of my time now. I retired from public
school teaching English, Reading, and Music. I’ll always love
teaching all ages the intricate joys of learning Music Theory
through Playing Piano.
Writing and Music, subjects that intertwine. They play off each
other in brilliant shining ways.
Once a teacher, always a teacher,” may be true. However, now my
private students call me either ~
-
Miss Gail, my middle name. Many friends call me Gail.
-
Coach.
-
Instructor.
My decision to become a teacher came from within me.
It relates to being from a family of educators.
Teaching also prepared me for Freelance Writing. Personal
experiences enabled me into becoming what I am.
